Happy iCal Day!
Today seems like an appropriate day to launch my Mac site. So here it is.
I finally did it. I knew that as soon as I upgraded my iBook SE to anything with Firewire, I wouldn't be able to resist an iPod. For years I've had to make do with a Rio 600 Ministry Of Sound Edition (upgraded to 128MB), whilst every Tom, Dick and Harriet walked around with one of these white and chrome beauties in their pocket - And some of them didn't even own a Mac! So, as soon as I couldn't use the "I can't get one, I haven't got Firewire!" excuse anymore, I had attacks of jealous spasms everytime I spotted someone sporting the tell-tale white headphones cord - Well I suffered these spasms ever since the iPod was launched, but now I was seriously tempted to follow these people until we were alone, and then wack them around the head with a lead pipe and take what I needed so badly.
When the 3rd generation iPod was launched, I had the money in my account and I couldn't resist the temptation. Somehow my wife agreed (I made her feel guilty about sending my hifi separates and prized vinyl collection to the confines of the loft when we prepared for the arrival of our daughter). Unlucky for her, I have now set up my turntable and amp in the spare room and am in the process of digitizing my best vinyl (using Spark LE). Will she ever see the back of it?
